Story

I'm Bianca Maria Dittrich: a German race walker and duathlete with over 20 years of competitive experience. As a multiple German Champion, I have gathered valuable competitive experience. Among my proudest sporting highlights are my participation in the 2023 World Athletics Championships, the 2025 Multisport World Championships, and the 2026 European Athletics Championships, all of which reflect a career built on consistency, dedication, and the courage to compete at a high level.

What sets me apart is the way I live the values of sport in every area of my life. Professionally, I work as an IT Service Manager, and I am currently completing my fifth academic degree (having already earned two Bachelor's and two Master's degrees). Lifelong learning and sport share a common thread for me: the joy of continuous growth and the relentless pursuit of new goals. Balancing high-performance sport, a demanding career, and academic study requires extraordinary organisation, discipline, and endurance — the very qualities that define me.

Beyond rankings and personal bests, what truly drives me is the challenge of stepping into the unknown: new terrains, new distances, new competition formats that push me outside my comfort zone. For me, success isn't just about being faster or better on paper. It's about recognising opportunities and having the courage to seize them. One day, I want to look back and say with certainty that I took every chance, accepted every challenge, and made the most of every possibility for as long as my body supports me.

### What I'm Looking For ###

At the moment, I am primarily seeking support with medical therapy costs. At the 2026 European Athletics Championships, I sustained an injury to my right hamstring. An MRI additionally revealed degenerative changes at the ischial tuberosity which, according to my sports orthopaedist, carries a high risk of recurring tendon injuries. These ischial complaints have persisted for over three years. Since symptoms only appeared under loads exceeding one hour, I trained through the pain for a long time (with the heel-strike technique typical in race walking placing particularly high stress on the affected area). My current treatment plan — comprising physiotherapy, shockwave therapy, cryotherapy, and five platelet-rich plasma (PRP) injections — is aimed at avoiding surgery. The PRP injections are not covered by statutory health insurance in Germany and must be financed entirely out of pocket. I am therefore actively seeking partners willing to contribute to these therapy costs as part of a sponsorship arrangement.

---> Any questions? Please feel free to reach out to me if you’d like to support me in any way, even if it’s unrelated to the request I’ve described here. You can find my contact information through my Linktree.
